How to clean up our products
...and sanitize.
Our products are made from a variety of materials each with its own specific requirements. To ensure their longevity and maximum hygiene, follow these simple advices:
General cleanliness
- For all products use warm water, neutral soap and a soft non-abrasive sponge.
- For a more thorough cleaning dissolve baking soda in water as is done in the kitchen for vegetables. Use food grade baking soda which is impurity-free.
- Leather products such as gloves must be washed by hand. Slight discolouring may occur in the first few washes. Do not worry, this is a normal phenomenon.
Disinfection
- After general cleanliness it is recommended to disinfect products, specially those with sharp spikes.
- Avoid alcohol-based sanitisers which could damage or discolour materials.
- Choose sanitisers based on hydrogen peroxide or quaternary ammonium. Both are easily found online, in supermarkets, parapharmacies and pharmacies.
- Make sure the sanitiser does not contain alcohol and test it on a small hidden area before applying it to the whole object.
Sterilisation (for some products only)
- Some products without painted parts or delicate material such as leather, can be boiled in water for a maximum of 2 minutes.
- To find out if you toy is suitable for this sterilisation method contact us. We will provide you with all the necessary information.
Additional advices
